Grillz Care Guide

Grillz Care Guide

Cleaning Instructions

  • Pour a few drops of alcohol-free mouthwash or mild, alcohol-free antibacterial soap (such as natural castile or baby-safe soap) into a small glass or container of warm water.
  • Place your grillz in the solution and soak for 3–5 minutes.
  • Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to very gently scrub the inside and outside of your grillz.
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm (not hot) water, then pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • For extra shine, use a silver or gold polishing cloth, moving in small circular motions.

Important:

  • Avoid any products containing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bleach, or abrasives — these can damage the metals and are not safe for oral use.
  • Do not use toothpaste — it’s too harsh and may scratch the surface of your grillz.
  • Always check the ingredients of any cleaning product you choose to use — only use substances that are safe for oral contact.

Everyday Care Tips

  • Clean your grillz after every wear. Bacteria builds up quickly and can affect both the grillz and your oral health.
  • Remove your grillz before eating or drinking anything besides water.
  • Smoking causes silver and gold to tarnish more quickly — this is a natural chemical reaction and not considered a fault.

Handling & Storage

  • Use a Grillz case to protect your grillz when you’re on the go.
  • Never put your grillz loose in your pocket, purse, or bag — they can get squashed or bent, which can affect how they fit.
  • When not wearing them, store your grillz on the original mould of your teeth to help maintain their shape.

You’ve spent the money to have hand-crafted, custom-fitted grillz — take care of them to make sure you can enjoy them for many years.

Proper cleaning will ensure you keep a bright smile. If your grillz are dirty or tarnished, your teeth will look dull. Gold & silver tends to lose its lustre over time, especially when you’re wearing it in your mouth. This can happen much faster compared to a ring or bracelet, so ensure you’re cleaning them after each wear — a quick brush with warm water and a soak in mouthwash will go a long way.

When you are not wearing your grillz, place them back onto the mould of your teeth to ensure they hold their shape.
