FAQs
What’s the turnaround time for Grillz to be made?
Our current turnaround time is up to 4 weeks for classic designs. The ETA begins from the day we take or receive your mould in-store.
Complex designs will be given a custom ETA. For designs where the customer needs to confirm the wax work or CAD design, the ETA will begin from when the design is finalised.
If you have a specific event that you'd like your Grillz or jewellery ready in time for, we will always try to accommodate you — but it is not guaranteed. Please speak with us directly prior to ordering at hello@loudmouthldn.co.uk
I live outside of London or overseas, can I still purchase Grillz or jewellery from you?
Yes! We offer worldwide shipping for Grillz and jewellery.
We will arrange an online consultation to discuss your ideas and show you concept designs before you place your order.
You can also speak with your dentist to have a putty mould taken, or have them assist you in completing the Home Impression Kit. This can save time on your order and ensure an accurate impression to work from. We always guarantee that the Grillz will fit the mould provided.
Do you offer payment plans?
We require a 50% payment upfront. The remaining balance is due upon collection of your Grillz or when they are ready to be shipped.
Klarna is available for online orders placed through our website.
For larger sets with many precious stones, we may require up to an 80% deposit, with the remainder due upon collection or prior to shipping.
I would like a custom design. How do I start the process?
You can visit our Custom Design page and fill out the contact form, or email us directly at hello@loudmouthldn.co.uk to begin the consultation process. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
Provide as many details about your design as possible and attach any reference photos you have.
We’ll discuss your design ideas in depth and provide a digital concept design so you can visualise your piece. Once the design, metal, and stones are confirmed, we’ll provide a custom quote.
When you’re happy with the design, we’ll invoice you for your 50% deposit, and your Home Impression Kit will be shipped once this is paid.
If you'd prefer an in-person consultation, this can be arranged via email or by booking online.
What metals do you offer?
Grillz can be made in 925 silver, dental yellow or white, and 9ct, 14ct, or 18ct yellow, rose, or white gold.
What stones do you offer?
Any stone can be used as long as it’s safe for oral wear and we can source it in the size required for your design.
My Grillz aren’t clipping — how do I keep them in place?
Although we always aim for our Grillz and caps to clip directly onto the teeth, this isn’t guaranteed. It depends on the individual's tooth shape, gum line depth, and the design. Larger designs generally clip more securely than single caps, spacers, or caps with inlays.
To keep your Grillz secure, you can use a dental adhesive such as Poligrip. Some designs, like spacers, may require adhesive due to their smaller size.
Caps can often be gently tightened for a better fit. We prefer to do this for you at our studio, but it can be done at home. Please contact us before attempting this, as we are not liable for any damage caused by self-adjustment.
Can I smoke with my Grillz?
We strongly advise not smoking with your Grillz, as heat will cause them to tarnish much faster.
Dental gold will tarnish more slowly compared to silver or regular gold.
Can I eat with my Grillz?
Please avoid eating or drinking acidic drinks while wearing your Grillz.
Food debris and acidic liquids can get trapped inside, leading to gum irritation.
Remove your Grillz before eating or drinking fizzy drinks, and be sure to clean them before wearing again.
How durable is the metal used?
If you plan to wear your Grillz frequently, we recommend 9ct Gold or Dental Gold.
925 Silver is more malleable and will tarnish much faster.
How do I keep my Grillz clean?
We have a detailed Care Guide available for keeping your Grillz in top condition. We also offer a polishing service to restore their original shine.
I have a dental issue — can I still get Grillz?
If you have existing dental issues, we require consent from your dentist before taking your mould.
Please note: we cannot be held liable for any damage caused by taking an impression. Your oral health is your responsibility, so consult your dentist if you have any concerns.
Can I get Grillz if I have veneers or composite bonding?
If your dental work has been professionally done, the moulding process will not affect your veneers or composite bonding.
Do you offer permanent caps?
We do not offer permanent cap services. Please speak to your dentist if you wish to have caps professionally cemented in.
Can I wear Grillz with braces or other dental appliances?
It depends on the type of dental brace you have. We advise contacting us to discuss your options. Permanent retainers fixed to the back of your teeth are fine to work with.
In some cases, tooth gems may be a better alternative if Grillz aren't suitable.
